The Argus Hotel is located directly on Washington Park (Olmstead Design) is just a short walk to downtown, the Capitol Building and Empire State Plaza, Albany Medical Center, Albany Law School & Albany Pharmacy College, so leave your car for the day in our onsite parking lot. The hotel is only two blocks from hip Center Square, a neighborhood of 19th century brownstones, where you can stroll to numerous restaurants, galleries, pubs, and music venues.
PET-FRIENDLY ACCOMMODATIONS
Don’t leave your furry friends at home during your next vacation; bring them with you. We offer a limited number of pet-friendly rooms in our Main House (2 to be exact), so you must call us to book your room if you plan on bringing your dog with you.
We are situated on Washington Park where your dog can enjoy the outdoors. Only dogs are accepted at The Argus Hotel.

PET POLICIES
While staying with us, we ask that you kindly observe the following rules for the comfort of all our guests:
Dogs under 50 lbs are welcome. Pets over 50 lbs cannot be accommodated.
Dogs must be leashed at all times when not in your room, including walking through the Hotel.
You are responsible for any damage caused by your pet.
Pet surcharge of $35 per dog, per stay plus tax applies to guest rooms.
Dogs are not allowed in public spaces, except the cocktail lounge and gardens for the comfort of our guests.
As a condition of reserving a room at our hotel, you agree to pay a $250 fee if any pets are found in rooms not designated as dog-friendly, or if your animal causes stains or damage to a pet-friendly guest room.
HOTEL POLICY
Booking Policy
You must be 21 years of age or older to book a room at The Argus Hotel.
Check-in and Check-out
Check-in is after 3:00 PM. Early check-in is available for a $25 fee. You must call to coordinate early check-in or bag drop off. We will gladly store your luggage until check-in time. Check-out time is 11:00 PM, with late check out available for $25
THE ARGUS HOTEL OFFERS CONTACTLESS SELF CHECK-IN. PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL OR TEXT FOR INSTRUCTIONS, OR CALL IF YOU DO NOT RECIVE THEM BY MORNING OF ARRIVAL.
Cancellation Policy
Because of our size, cancellations affect us significantly. For any cancellation, we must receive 48 hours’ notice prior to your confirmed arrival for a full refund. Therefore, if you cancel within 48 hours, regardless of the reason, your reservation will be non-refundable. Plus, you are always welcome to send a friend or family member in your place. All reservation changes are subject to availability and minimum stay restrictions.

Rates, Taxes, and Gratuities
Rates do not include an 8% NYS rates are subject to change without prior notice. In addition, gratuities for the housekeeping crew are not included in the room rate and are at guests’ discretion.
Additional Person
Most rooms are intended for two guests. Double Rooms, Family Room & Carriage House can accommodate more guests, but each additional guest above two persons is subject to the additional person fee. The additional person fee is $25 a night. Children of any age do qualify as guests.
Smoking Policy
The Argus Hotel is a 100% non-smoking property. This includes outdoor common spaces. Our staff will impose a $250 cleaning surcharge on any room account where guests have smoked with disregard for our policy.
Accessibility
Our hotel offers fourteen (5) first-floor guest rooms. One (1) of these guest rooms has additional accessibility features. This room is available to book by phone.
Guest Responsibility
While accidents do happen, guests will be financially responsible for damage due to gross negligence.
